Montgomery County Planning has been hosting public hearings and work sessions regarding the proposed bike paths in the county – take a look at proposed paths in our area by clicking on the map link below.  Please note the color chart for the different types of paths – existing, separated, striped, bikeable, and shared.   Of greatest interest are the alignment along Willard Avenue and a proposed bike trail along the GEICO/Brookdale border.   Note that this is a master plan so we can not answer any questions on specific design.  However, most bike paths are not lit similar to the Capital Crescent Trail.

Planning staff will making recommendations to the County Council in late April so that will be our next opportunity to provide testimony.  We are interested in your feedback, if you would like to send comments or have questions, please email Manuel Ochoa at mtochoa@mac.com before April 19th.
